La Hora del Pikirillo on Ateneo 100.7 FM

Outstanding pianist and composer Prisca Dávila debuted on Sunday, February 8th 2009 on Radio Ateneo 100.7 FM conducting her show “La Hora Del Pikirillo”, a program where the audience can listen to interviews and interesting analysis about music and the different styles and trends.  A program where Venezuelan artists are the stars of the show.

The program offers reviews and news sections under the production of journalist, DJ and independent national producer Roberto Palmitesta. The program is aired every Sunday at 1 pm.  Throughout the year, Prisca has interviewed many top artists like Marieva Dávila, Gerardo Rosales, Caracas Soul Connection, Pablo Gil, Pibo Márquez, Eddy Marcano, El Goyo Reyna, Los Bellos Públicos, Sibelius,  Los Sinvergüenzas, Kapicúa,  C4Trío, Eric Chacón, Eddy Marcano, Gonzalo Teppa, Terracanto, Carlos Capacho, Pacho Flores, Manuel Rangel, Carlos Rodríguez and Ofelia del Rosal.

Prisca’s program also offers a learning experience as she teaches us various subjects related to the new trends in Venezuelan music in a very dynamic and entertaining way. This is the first time the pianist/singer gets into the radio world.

“I am very happy for this opportunity and I’d like to thank the director of the radio station, Mr. Polo Troconis, for trusting me. Just like our first program on digital TV, the idea of La Hora Del Pikirillo is that the audience enjoys any genre of music composed by Venezuelan artists”, emphasizes Prisca.

Prisca started in the media as the host of the namesake show that was on the digital television site Coolturama TV.  “La Hora Del Pikirillo on digital TV helped me to take this important step. It was a great learning experience. It is an honor to have a radio program in such prestigious station as Radio Ateneo”, affirmed Prisca.

“Prisca has a particular charm when it comes to explain and tell things. It is that charm that makes her guests feel at home. The interviews turn into a friendly chat”, declares producer Roberto Palmitesta. “Prisca has an innate talent and charm to work in the media. She can really turn a technical and tedious explanation into a funny story”, adds the producer.
